United Methodist Men
The Men's Breakfast has been suspended until further notice.
Men's Fellowship groups in the Methodist tradition have been places where men could connect with each other, their faith, and the needs of the community for over 100 years.
Summit UMC and Lakewood UMC have a combined United Methodist Men's group. Our monthly gathering starts with a breakfast in our fellowship hall on the second Saturday of each month at 8:00 AM. Bible study follows breakfast. We also have programs ranging from guest speakers to "work days" around the church.
Projects have included help with "Paint Tacoma-Pierce Beautiful," a city-wide project for painting the homes of low income seniors and low income people with disabilities; sponsoring an all church family night at a Tacoma Rainiers baseball game; and support of the Freezing Nights program and Cub Scout Pack 509.
